Balance of Power basically turns X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter into what it should have been from the beginning. This expansion adds two all new campaigns, consisting of 30 new missions which are completely interdependant and story-driven, which gives players something to strive for. LucasArts has designed these campaigns to be compatible with whatever play method the user prefers. All missions can be completed in either single-or-multiplayer mode, as either the Imperials or the Rebels.

The game also features tons of new ships, as well as the B-Wing, not included in the original game because the designers felt it was too powerful! The game also features native support for both PowerVR and 3Dfx cards, as well as Direct3D. For your convenience, the original XvT is included, because the game would not run stable without it, and you can choose to play either the original, or BoP, right from the launch menu.
